UPDATE July 6, 2009

In the wake of our radio Festival "Radio - Together" ("Vmeste - Radio") I would like to share  a link on a lecture that has been presented by Ira Glass (This American Life, NPR) 28th of June in Moscow. The name of the lecture is "New ways of making radio". Here is it http://www.podst.ru/?area=posts&id=2994 Audio is bilingual: english and russian.
Best regards,
Alena

I am happy to inform you that in Moscow on 27-29 June 2009 the Foundation for Independent Radio (FNR) Broadcasting will run the Finale of the 7th annual Festival Radio Together (Vmeste – Radio). More than 200 radio makers from all over the country are expected to attend this event.

The Festival runs throughout the year in each of Russia’s seven federal districts and is ended at the Finale in Moscow where national winners are selected out of the regional winners. The Expert Board which includes prominent Russian radio makers will select winners in four nominations: news programme, talk-show, reportage, and feature programme. Apart from that, a special prize will be given for the best programme on culture.

The festival events include discussion of submissions, as well as round table discussions, lectures and master classes. As usual, prominent guests from Europe and the United States are invited to take part in the festival. This year the participants will be able to attend the lectures and master-classes of Anna Sekudewicz (Radio Katowice, Poland), Ira Glass (This American Life, NPR), Alex van Oss (independent, USA), Greg Allen (The Neo-Futurist, USA), Jean Fairbairn (Developing Radio Partners, UK) and others. This is the result of the partnership which FNR is developing with the world renown events – Prix Europa festival, International Feature Conference and the Third Coast International Audio Festival.

The festival programme is available on our festival web-site (http://radiofestival.ru/files/programmi/programma_moscow_09_eng.doc ).

Best wishes,

Alena Kislitsina
